Olecranon bursitis

Bursitis is generally due to repeated pressure on the elbow.

Swelling over the elbow

Could be painful or painless’

U/trasound elbow

Management

Ultrasound-guided steroid injection in the bursa

Aspirated fluid may be sent for microscopy if an infection is suspected

Rarely surgical excision is needed
