Simultaneous occurrence of tumours involving a number of endocrine glands is called MEN.
MEN I (Werner’s syndrome)
1 . Primary hyperparathyroidism
2. Functioning pituitary tumours
3. Pancreatic tumours (e.g. insulinoma,
gastrinoma)
MEN II (Sipple’s syndrome)
1 . Primary hyperparathyroidism
2. Medullary carcinoma of the thyroid
3 . Phaeochromocytoma
